Dear members of the Eymardian Family,

With joy and gratitude to God, we inform you that Rev. Fr. Sagara Jayamanne, SSS, who belongs to the Province of Christ the Bread of Life, Sri Lanka, has been nominated by the Holy Father as Bishop of the Diocese of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, on 16 December 2025.

Fr. Sagara presently serves as Vicar Provincial and Scholastic Director and is also the Dean of the Department of Philosophy at the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

We thank the Lord for this gift to the Church and entrust Fr. Sagara to the guidance and grace of the Holy Spirit as he embraces this new apostolic mission. May Christ the Eucharist, whom he has loved and served, be his strength, wisdom, and abiding hope in his episcopal ministry.

With fraternal affection, we assure him of our prayers, support, and best wishes, invoking upon him the intercession of Saint Peter Julian Eymard.
