The Perpetually Professed Brothers with the Provincial House, Eymard Formation Center and Blessed Sacrament Novitiate Communities
On the eve of the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary, March 18, 2026, the Brothers’ Night was held at the Provincialate House, Quezon City. It was a meaningful gathering not only of priests but also of perpetually professed brothers from various communities: Br. Reynaldo Acabado from Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, Br. Oligario Manansala from Tabaco, Albay and Br. Reno Intong from Sta Cruz, Manila.
The event was further enriched by the presence of novices and scholastics, creating an atmosphere of fraternity, unity, and shared vocation. The evening served as an opportunity for the brothers to deepen their sense of identity and mission within the Congregation. It highlighted the beauty of their vocation, rooted in service, humility, and community life.
More than just a social gathering, it became a moment of reflection on their unique role in the Church. Fr. Rudsend Paragas, Provincial Superior, emphasized in his message that brothers play a crucial role not only within the Congregation but also in the wider Church. He reminded everyone that their vocation is not defined by hierarchy or superiority, but by communion and collaboration. Brothers and priests alike are called to be partners in mission, working together to spread Eucharistic spirituality in the communities to which they are assigned.
Br. Eduardo Mabilen from Davao, who was unable to attend in person, joined the gathering virtually. Meanwhile, Br. Bobby Yanzon from Hawaii also sent a video message and greeting. Ultimately, the Brothers’ Night was a celebration of brotherhood, unity, and a shared commitment to Christ and his Church.
