4th edition of the Eymardian Days in Dakar
On July 4-5, 11, 18-19, 2026, the Parish of Saint Pierre des Baobabs, in the Archdiocese of Dakar, hosted the 4th edition of the Eymardian Days, organized by the Eymardian Youth, around the theme: “Youth in Mission: Work, Finance, Vocation (Vol. II)”. This event has become a major event in the life of the movement, and each year marks the end of our activities. Spread over three weekends in July, this edition proposed a journey articulated around the social, fraternal and spiritual dimensions of Eucharistic spirituality, in fidelity to the charism of St Peter Julian Eymard.
The social dimension was reflected in a blood donation campaign, illustrating the commitment of young people to promote a culture of solidarity and self-giving. The fraternal dimension, around sports events, has encouraged dialogue, conviviality and the strengthening of our ties. The spiritual dimension was framed in the Tent of Meeting, a real environment for prayer, meditation and listening, a privileged time of recollection and spiritual renewal.
Through interaction with five panellists, the Scientific Day was a key time for formation and reflection on the challenges of personal, professional and ecclesial life.
The culmination of the Eymardian Days, the Sunday Eucharistic celebration of July 19, 2026, was marked by the official welcome of 30 new Associates within the Province of Our Lady of Africa, as well as by the renewal of the commitment of 28 Associates.
Presided over by the Provincial Superior, Father Bernard Noël Tine, in the presence of the Vicar Provincial and several Blessed Sacrament religious, this celebration bore witness to the dynamism and Eucharistic rootedness of the Eymardian family.
At the end of the 4th edition, these Eymardian Days confirm that they are a privileged setting for human, spiritual and missionary formation, especially for young people who want to link the life of faith, social responsibility and commitment to the service of the Church and society.
