After the election of Fr. Roel Dela Cruz, SSS, Provincial superior of the province of Our Lady of the Assumption, to the task of General Consultor and Treasurer, the Province organized an extraordinary Amplified Provincial Council on December 12, 2023 held at the Provincialate House, Quezon City, Philippines.

During this meeting, Fr. Rudsend P. Paragas, SSS, ordained priest on February 12, 2005, was elected as the new Provincial Superior. Prior to being elected as Provincial Superior, he was the Vicar Provincial, while serving also as the Pastor and Rector of the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament, Our Lady of the Pillar Church, Sta. Cruz Parish, Manila.

 Consequently, a new Vicar Provincial was also appointed: Fr. Jonelito Sison, SSS, currently Provincial Consultor and Director of students at Eymard Formation Center, Quezon City.
